Together with all members, alumni, friends, and supporters of the University of Hohenheim, you can already look forward to the annual summer festival on Dies academicus with its traditional highlights!

The centerpiece of the Dies academicus will be the student booths in the Palace courtyard. Those who want to enjoy a special summer evening in front of baroque palace backdrop can celebrate in the Palace courtyard until late at night with musical entertainment and a variety of international delicacies.

Keynote speech

"Democratic change in the digital sphere"

Prof. Dr. Jeanette Hofmann is a German political scientist at Freie Universität Berlin, founding director of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG), and head of the research group "Politics of Digitalization" at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. She is also a Principal Investigator at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society, where she leads a research group on technology, power, and governance. Her research interests include digitalization and democracy, AI and society, digital regulation, and internet policy. She is a member of various academic committees and is actively involved in policy advising and promoting an inclusive digital society.

Go to the inner courtyard to experience the vibrant cultures of the University of Hohenheim. Hohenheim students offer a wide range of culinary delights and refreshments from all regions of the world at many booths. At the information booths you will learn a lot of interesting facts about student projects and academic life at the university.
